Director

Shelby Broberg is the Communication Center Director and an Instructor at George Mason University. Shelby has a B.A. in Communication and earned her M.A. in Communication Studies from Arizona State University where she worked as a graduate student in their communication center, CommLabASU. During her first year as an Instructor, she also served as the Assistant Director of Community Outreach for CommLabASU, initiating and maintaining partnerships between the communication center and community partners including Boys & Girls Club of America, Girl Scouts, and the Be a Leader Foundation.

Shelby comes to Mason from Western Carolina University where she was an Instructor for three years. As an Instructor, Shelby has experience teaching courses including Public Speaking, Relational Communication, Small Group, and Conflict & Negotiation, among others.

Sachita, is a first year Communication Masters student from Nepal. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Media Studies at Kathmandu University School of Arts. Throughout her career, she has been ardently involved in research and development initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for underprivileged communities residing in the remote corners of Nepal. Her unwavering commitment and enthusiasm lie in the area of empowerment and education, channeling these passions through various programs, workshops and interventions.

Outside of her academic pursuits, Sachita finds solace and joy in gardening, exploring through hiking adventures, and swimming. Additionally, she possesses a deep affection for books, making her a self-proclaimed book nerd. Sachita has a huge love for food and exploring new places to eat.  

Aditi Goel

Aditi Goel

Aditi is a second-year Communication Masters student. She did her B.S. at Mason, majoring in Public Administration and minoring in Well-Being and Computational Data Sciences. She served in various roles during her undergraduate, including being a peer academic advisor for the Schar School of Policy and Government. Along with her involvement with various mindfulness activities on campus and off, she loves interacting with new people. Some of her other interests include baking, playing chess, doing Zumba, and video editing. She strives to embody and inspire virtues of compassion and service in all that she does.
