Hello, my name is Austin. I'm a Junior studying Communication here at George Mason. I'm a member of the GMU debate team and have a 7+ year background in speech writing and public speaking. I've worked professionally in debate, research, and communicative education at the middle, high school, and collegiate level. I'm very excited to work with you and assist any way I can.

Hi everyone! My name is Camila and I’m a sophomore majoring in Government & International Politics with a minor in Political Communication. I’m from Fairfax, VA and I’m apart of the GMU Forensics team and Latin American Political Society. In my free time I love to read, cook and trying new coffee shops! My goal is to become an immigration lawyer and help spread other peoples stories. I’m excited to meet you and strengthen your communication skills!

Cassidy

Hi! My name is Cassidy, I am from Chesterfield, VA and I am a senior double majoring in Criminology and Spanish. My goal is to help as many people as I can navigate through the criminal justice system and advocate for their rights whether they are victims or incarcerated. In my free time I love playing video games, decorating cakes, and competing with GMU’s speech team. I look forward to working with you all and to craft amazing speeches!

Hello! My name is David. I’m a Business major with a concentration in Accounting. I love traveling (I’ve been to Pakistan (x2), Lebanon (x2), Egypt (x2), Turkey (x2), and Morocco). I love running (favorite events are 5k’s) and I also love trying out new foods. I’m hyped to work with y’all and to help you succeed in communication and in future endeavors!

Elias

Hello! I’m Elias, an English major in my third year at Mason! I’m very into writing, playwriting specifically and intend to teach English later in life. I’ve written two plays so far, both of which have been performed and directed! I’m looking forward to meeting you all!

Hareer

Hi! My name is Hareer, and I am currently a sophomore majoring in marketing! I am passionate about art and have my own henna business, which gives me the chance to interact with many clients of various backgrounds. I love animals and enjoy volunteering at the animal shelter as well. I have always been fond of writing and am excited to start working at the Communication Center to help other students with their oral presentations. I look forward to meeting you all!

Hi! My name is Kai. I’m a Communication major from Charlotte, NC, with a concentration in Political Communications. I love all things music and have collected records for almost a decade now! Traveling, reading, and spending quality time with friends and family make me the happiest. I recently got back from a study abroad at The University of Oxford, and was able to spend time in Italy and Scotland as well. I am excited to work with you and further your success here at Mason!

Nicholas 

Hi!! My name is Nicholas and I am majoring in Musical Theatre. I am from the very grand state of Texas where I call El Paso my home. I’m on Mason’s Forensics team, so if I’m not performing in a musical, you can catch me performing there. While performing is my favorite thing to do I also love to run, read, try the newest flavors of anything (poppi is where I look to most), and find a new special skill to learn. A fun fact about me is that I collect just about anything Ariel (the mermaid) related. I look forward to meeting y'all. Let’s create some killer speeches together!

Hello Everyone! My name is Sanyu, and I am currently a Sophomore at GMU majoring in communication. I am originally from St. Paul, Minnesota! In my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, crocheting, reading, watching K-dramas and when I can, playing my bass! In addition, I am also a member of the GMU Forensics team! A fun fact about me is that I can speak a little Chinese. I look forward to working with you all!

Hey y’all! My name is Vera and I go by they/she pronouns. I am from Alexandria, VA and a current junior-year student majoring in forensic science. Outside of classes, I compete with GMU Forensics and volunteer with the Early Identification Program to support fellow first-generation students. A fun fact about me is that I have been in Caporales, a traditional Bolivian dance, for 10 years! I look forward to working with you all.

Hi everyone! My name is Brisa and I'm a junior majoring in Business with a concentration in Accounting. In my free time I really enjoy going on spontaneous adventures, thrifting, enjoying time with family and friends, and baking. A fun fact about me is that I am a part of BCA which is the Bolivian Culture Association. I love to help others so being a front desk assistant allows me to connect with people and create a welcoming environment.

Hi Everyone! My name is Christian and I am senior majoring in Cybersecurity Engineering. A neat fun fact about myself is I tend to like researching anything that ever piques my interest which partially led to me going into cybersecurity (also knowing a tidbit of spanish). And I love helping others with communication which led me to the communication center! My main hobbies are playing games occasionally and watching TV.

Karsten

Hi everyone! My name is Karsten, and I’m a junior majoring in Business with a concentration in Operations and Supply Chain Management. A fun fact about me is that I used to suffer from a speech impediment at a young age, and through effective coaching and determination, I was able to overcome it and enhance my communication skills. For that reason, being a part of the Communication Center team is near and dear to my heart. Outside of school, I love to cook, sketch, and play guitar!
